The JBA-H filter has been designed with caridina shrimp enthusiasts in mind. It is based on the HMF principle whilst also offering buffering through soil provisioned within the removable cartridges. This filter is an internal hang on. Four height settings ensure ample room is left for lids.
Driven by air, the finely tuned jet-lift at the base of the riser provides more than ample flow through the nozzle.
With two removable cartridges it makes soil renewal as easy as removing one cartridge, emptying and replacing the soil. The benefit of two cartridges is that your filter retains its cycle when leaving at least two weeks between each separate cartridge renewal. Depending on pH buffer requirements and the size of the tank you can opt to use ceramic bio media in the rear cartridge only ever renewing soil in the front one.
